It is in the sauce, but I get my meat with the sauce on the side. I like to taste the smoke. Pulled pork was excellent. Mac & cheese was better.

I had a kool-aid and it was the kind of sweet I like, the peach pie was good too. The place is in like business type buildings so its easy to pass, the banners outside help. There's a small dinning area inside to eat but seems mostly a to go place.

Low key little spot in the business area of Oxnard. Stumbled across this place on a Saturday. Great fast service and very friendly. Good prices and even better food- everything seasoned well and the tri tip was nice and thin, tender and so was the brisket. Loved the collard greens and potato salad, would try the chili beans next time. Sausage sandwich was good too. Can’t wait to come back on a hot summer day

“It’s in the Sauce” catering has now done three reunions for our veterans group, and Wayne and his family continue to knock it out of the park every time. There are no fancy contracts, no drama, and no surprises—just a handshake, a date, and a headcount. I tell Wayne when we’re eating and how many mouths we need to feed, and he shows up on time, fully prepared, and ready to deliver. That kind of reliability is rare, and it means everything when you’re feeding a large group. The food is consistently excellent, the service is smooth, and the whole operation reflects pride, experience, and family values. You can tell this is a family-owned business that genuinely cares about doing things right.
